Festool CXS 12 Cordless Drill is Festool's lightest and most compact drill, and will quickly become your favourite tool for the most common drilling and screwdriving tasks. It is ideal for furniture and cabinet assembly and installation, hardware installation, interior finishings, decking, and light to medium drilling and construction tasks.
The closed ergonomic C handle provides a grip position where forces are directed through the driving axis.
The CXS 12 is surprisingly powerful
Festool's powerful EC-TEC motor delivers ample torque for most tasks. The latest design of this brushless motor delivers excellent torque output and an extremely long service life - exceeding that of a conventional brushed motor.
Power is provided by 10.8 volt 2.5 Ah lithium-ion batteries with a workpiece-friendly rubber coating and built-in charge indicator. Battery packs can be charged on the same chargers that re-energize Festool 18 volt batteries.
CXS 12 has built-in practical features
On-board bit storage allows you to keep your most frequently-used bits on the drill at all times, so you need to make fewer trips back to the toolbox. When both hands are needed to handle material or climb a ladder, the belt clip securely suspends the tool from a belt or pocket. It's reversible for left- or right-handed orientation. The two-speed gearbox and 13-position clutch allows you to match the drill's speed and torque to the task at hand.

The set includes two batteries, charger, three chucks (three jaw, right angle, and Centrotec quick change), Systainer and assortment of screwdriver bits.
The Centrotec chuck is a lightweight and compact quick-change chuck that provides stability and guidance so bits run true with negligible runout. A range of other chucks including depth stop chucks, socket drivers, and an eccentric chuck are available separately. Each chuck can be quickly installed via the FastFix interface, and adjusted without tools.
Further, the drill spindle has a 1/4 inch hex bore so can directly accept any standard 1/4 inch hex shank bit for even more compact operation in tight spaces.
