Woodpecker's Poly-Gauge SS is a precisely machined tool that provides a physical representation of the angles needed to create accurate mitre joints with your table saw or mitre saw. Specially designed for machine setup, the tool provides maximum registration against the surfaces that count for the best accuracy. It gets around the shortcomings of mitre squares with short blades, table inserts that are slightly low or high than the rest of the table, T-bevels with large radiused ends, and more. With the Poly-Gauge SS, you will get the right settings the first time, and every time.
Woodpeckers' Poly-Gauge SS is perfect for setting mitre saws and mitre gauges
Not only does the Poly-Gauge sit flat all by itself, unlike most bevels and squares with unbalanced stocks and blades, the reference edges also sit 9/32 inch above the machine surface to avoid deviations caused by uneven table inserts, rounded fence edges, or debris.
The Poly-Gauge is also perfect for bevelling table saw blades, mitre saw blades and jointer fences
For setting vertical surfaces, the large knob can be removed from the Poly-Gauge and used as a stand to keep the reference tool upright. A pair of powerful rare earth magnets keep it upright on steel and cast iron tables so you can use both hands to adjust the equipment.
SS is for stainless steel
Each Poly-Gauge SS is laser-cut from 1/16 inch high quality stainless steel, then precision milled on CNC equipment. Angles are clearly marked for each of the five most commonly-used polygon angles:
- 45 degrees for squares
- 54 degrees for pentagons
- 60 degrees for hexagons
- 67.5 degrees for octagons
- 75 degrees for dodecagons
