A large capacity dust extractor ideal for shop use, or in environments where large amounts of dust and chips are produced and the unit can be rolled around, rather than carried.
Redesigned and refined for improved performance, durability, and convenience, the new CT 48 features a more robust Sys-Dock Hose Garage for quick and easy connection of Systainers, and a cord holder that allows the power cable to be wound tidily, and removed without unwinding it.
Also included is a new elastic suction hose. It is tapered for flexibility, ergonomics and airflow, has a smooth exterior that allows it to slide over edges and increases service life, and has a Cleantec tool connection that can lock onto the tool with a twist. In addition, multiple suction hoses can be connected without requiring additional parts.

Built to work with Festool power tools
Just like the rest of the Festool CT line, it features variable suction power and works with all Festool products that have integrated dust extraction. Features built-in Bluetooth connectivity for auto-start with cordless and corded tools (a Bluetooth battery must be equipped on cordless tool).
Conveniences features are standard
Sometimes it's the little extras that make your work easier and pleasant. Things like the on-board 110 volt socket for powering tools that can automatically switch the CT on and off, or the foot brake to keep the dust extractor from rolling.

The mount on top of Festool CT dust extractors may be one of the most underrated features. Connect Systainers to the top and keep your tools together, or set down your tools on the top in between uses.
2-stage filtration
The Selfclean filter bags trap and contain most of the dust and debris as small as 5 microns for clean and convenient disposal. Selfclean filter bags collapse every time the dust extractor is cycled off, breaking up the caked dust on the inside of the bag and continuously renewing suction. The bags are incredibly tough and include a built-in closure so emptying the dust extractor is a remarkably clean procedure.
The Selfclean bags trap particles as fine as 5 microns, which keeps the container clean, and prevents most of the dust from reaching the HEPA filter which would shorten its life span. The HEPA filter traps dust as fine as 0.3 microns so the most dangerous fine particles are not recirculated.
HEPA certified and OSHA compliant
The CT 48 is full-unit HEPA certified (not just the filter!) and OSHA compliant, so you can work in hospitals, malls, and other regulated environments, and have peace of mind that only clean air is exhausted.
Converts to wet vacuum
Replace the HEPA filter with a sponge filter and remove the bag to use the extractor for dust pick-up. A sensor shuts off the unit automatically when maximum fluid level is reached.
Thermal protection built-in
A standard on all Festool dust extractors, the motor features thermal protection. If it gets too hot, the extractor will shut itself off, thereby protecting your investment and preventing costly damage and time consuming repairs.
