The Mafell Duo Dowel Joiner DDF 40 with Dowel Drilling Template Set provides a fast, accurate, and repeatable solution for drilling paired dowel holes, shelf-pin holes, cabinet fittings, and hardware mounting points.

The DDF 40 drills two holes simultaneously on standard 32 millimetre centres. Interchangeable drill bits allow the machine to bore holes from 3 to 12 millimetres in diameter, making it suitable for furniture construction, cabinetry, shelving systems, solid wood joinery, and production work.

This set also includes the Mafell 800 millimetre Dowel Drilling Template, allowing users to quickly create evenly spaced holes along longer workpieces. The template features indexing points every 32 millimetres and includes a quick-clamping device for secure and accurate positioning.

Built for Speed, Accuracy, and Repeatability

The adjustable fence can be locked at any height or angle between 0 and 90 degrees, with positive stops at 22.5, 45, and 67.5 degrees. A rotating adjustment turret provides fast access to frequently used settings, helping reduce setup time during repetitive work.

Spring-loaded locating pins extend through the front of the machine and allow holes to be positioned accurately 15.5 millimetres, or approximately 5/8 inch, from the edge of the workpiece without measuring or marking.

At only 2.8 kilograms, the DDF 40 is compact and portable. Its ergonomic handle provides excellent comfort and control when working on cabinetry, panels, frames, and larger assemblies.

Mafell's high-quality drilling template is designed for use with the DD40P and DDF 40 Duo Dowel Joiners.

The 800 millimetre, or approximately 2.6 foot, template includes indexing points every 32 millimetres and makes it easy to produce precise rows of dowel or shelf-pin holes.

For longer workpieces, the template can be extended using the available 1,600 millimetre template extension, extension clamp, Flexi Clamp, or threaded screw clamp.
