Festool Splinterguards attach to the saw at the front of the blade and provide a zero-clearance fit with the blade for optimal material support as the saw blade exits the cut. This reduces the tendency for the material on the right side of the blade to chip or splinter. For a splinter-free surface on the left of the blade, use the TS 60 track saw with a Festool guide rail with splinterguard.
Note that splinterguards are wear items, and should be replaced as they wear to ensure splinter-free results.
