The Festool Roundover Bit for OFKC 500 is designed for delicate, small-scale edge work. It is primarily intended for solid wood, but it can also be used on plastic edges. The special hollow core cutter fits directly onto the spindle, ensuring excellent run-out accuracy and a very clean routing finish.
Single-edged Z1 cutting performance
Single-edged cutter (Z1) performance means reduced heat buildup during use, which helps minimize scorch marks when routing across the grain and supports a smoother overall result. The roundover cutter is specifically designed for rounding off edges, with a cutter radius that is precisely matched for the ball bearing guidance.
Surface protection and controlled transitions with the Festool Roundover Bit
To help protect the surface, the radius transitions into a 5-degree run-out on the router blade, supporting clean edge finishes. The design also features a low installation height, and the flush ball bearing mount of the cutter allows routing in rebates or even on stacked panels.
The cutter is supplied without a bearing ball and is easy to install using a screw system, making setup straightforward while maintaining secure, precise operation.
