MTR-X Precision Multifunction Triangle delivers accuracy
The 10 inch triangle is CNC machined from a single piece of cast aluminum tooling plate chosen for the greatest dimensional stability. Once machined, its accuracy is checked to be within 0.001 inch along the entire length by an automated coordinate measuring machine. Finally, the triangle is anodized for a wear resistant and non-marring finish and angle graduations are laser engraved on both sides. The result is an easy-to-spot tool with a clear and precise scale.
The precision triangle on its own makes an ideal reference for setting up machinery such as mitre saws, mitre gauges, fences and more. By attaching the aluminum angles, the reference surface is extended and the Multifunction Triangle serves as a high-precision assembly square to hold assemblies at 90 degrees for joinery and glue-ups with a pair of clamps (clamps not included).
Multifunction Triangle allows quick and precise layout
For 45 and 90 degree layout, spin in a pair of index pins into the threaded holes and slide them up to the edge of your stock and create your layout with a pencil, awl or knife. If you need to create lines between 45 and 90 degrees, attach the dogs and pointer with parallax-free viewport, set it to the angle you need and create your layout.
Attach the MTR-X to a guide rail for repeatable crosscuts and mitres
The included guide rail adapter allows the MTR-X Precision Multifunction Triangle to attach directly to the guide rail so you can bring it to the workpiece for accurate cuts from 45 to 90 degrees. It attaches to Festool, Makita, Powertec and Kreg Accu-Cut System.
Dogs allow MTR-X Precision Multifunction Triangle to work with MFT
The Multifunction Triangle has a variety of uses on a MFT or similar work surface, too. The 20mm holes machined into the triangle on 96mm centres, plus 20mm arc allow the MTR-X triangle to be installed on any worktop with that hole pattern, such as Festool's MFT. This makes it fast and easy to set 45 and 90 degree angles, and allows other angles to be quickly and precisely set.
Use it to align the MFT's fence, and a guide rail (even in a raised position) with the long index pins, or use the MTR-X on its own to position your workpiece relative to the guide rail.
