Woodpeckers Delve Square was developed over the years by North Carolina woodworker Tom DelVechio. He continually improved and added more functionality to his shop-made versions until it became the patent pending design marvel it is today. It has been one of Woodpeckers' most requested OneTIME Tools, and is now included in Woodpeckers' regular line of precision layout tools.

No measurement mortise & tenon layout
The DelVe Square right triangle is offset in the 3/4 inch wide base with 1/4 inch on one side and 3/8 inch on the other. So in commonly used 3/4 inch thick stock, tenon cheeks and shoulders are marked with the stroke of a pencil.
Four set-up blocks at hand
The blade is 1/8 inch thick and 1/2 inch wide. The base is 1/4 inch thick and 3/4 inch wide.
Fast and precise machine setup
Of course you can use the DelVe Square to set your table saw to 90 and 45 deg. But you can also use the base's 3/4 inch width or 1/4 inch thickness to set the blade height. Or stand the square on its edge and use the measurement scale to make other height adjustments. You can even set your saw fence using these foolproof, fixed gauging dimensions.
High accuracy
The engraved scales are accurate to +/-0.004 inches total accumulated error, and scribing guides milled every 1/8 inch along the blade make laying out parallel lines even easier.
Handy protractor
The hypotenuse is engraved every 5 degrees, and at 22.5 and 67.5 degrees.
