The AutoAngle Drill Guide allows accurate positioning
In contrast to most tilting drill guides available, the AutoAngle Drill Guide uses arced pivots instead of a single pivot point which means that the entry point of the drill bit does not change as the angle is adjusted.
When positioning the jig, machined reference points in the base align with crosshairs drawn on your workpiece. If it's in the way, the chuck base assembly can be slid off the guide rods for an unobstructed view. The non-skid base keeps the jig where you position it, and there is ample surface area to add a clamp or too, should that be required.
The protractor is adjustable from 0 to 40 degrees, and locked by a pair of large hand grips. Included with the jig is a short multi-knob to use if you need to use the jig in a tight space.
Fence and stop system allow repeatable positioning of the AutoAngle Drill Guide
For a series of holes parallel to an edge, the fence can be attached to the drill guide. Additionally, the guide rods can be used with flip stops for repeatable positioning from an adjacent edge.
Button accessories allow centred drilling
A pair of anodized aluminum buttons included with the jig attach to the bottom to allow centred drilling, and the V-notches milled into their bottoms allow AutoAngle to drill into round stock, too.
