With three collet sizes and plenty of power, the OF 1400 router is capable of performing almost all routing tasks. Its extensive list of features and range of available accessories make it an easy choice if you can only have one router.
Includes 1/4 inch, 8 millimetre, and 1/2 inch collets
Use all but the largest router bits in the router, from a tiny 1/16 inch roundover bit to a large 2-1/2 inch diameter raised panel bit.
Ratcheting spindle lock
Change bits faster than ever with the ratcheting spindle lock. Simply press one side of the spindle lock rocker and swing the single wrench back and forth until the collet is tightened or loosened.
Micro-adjustable depth control with three adjustable turrets
Precisely set the plunge depth (2-1/8 inch maximum) quickly and effortlessly with the micro-adjust depth stop wheel graduated in 1/10 millimetre (1/256 or 0.0039 inch) increments. Each of the three posts on the turret is also individually adjustable.
Ergonomic design can be used with one hand
The compact design makes it extremely maneuverable and the controls are positioned for one-handed operation - a single hand on the pistol can operate the power trigger, lock on the power, adjust the speed and plunge the router.
High-quality plunge mechanism
A pair of precision ground rod guide the router straight up and down. The router features a category-leading 2-3/4 inch plunge depth, and both posts are locked by twisting the front knob to reduce deflection.
MMC Electronics enhance safety and control
The tool starts up smoothly, eliminating jolting and voltage spikes. Adjust the speed infinitely within the speed range to suit the material and application, and know that the pre-selected speed will remain constant even when load is applied. Built-in temperature control prevents overheating by switching the tool off when critical temperature is reached in order to prolong its lifespan.
Dust collection attachments
The included dust hood effectively extracts dust at the source to keep the work area clean. For edge-forming operations, the chip catcher can be clipped into the base to help contain and capture the chips instead of spraying them.
Table mountable
The OF 1400 can be installed easily in the Festool CMS router table without tools, and bit changes and height adjustments can be done from above the table.
